I have yet to find a site completely dedicated to talking to Facebook directly.

The Plan
Create a domain using keywords related to Facebook petitions. Such as “FB Petitions.” Refrain from using Facebook in the name to avoid any infringement. A blog wouldn’t be a good idea because it will seem more of a rant than an actual suggestion to Facebook.

• Allow user submitted petitions, or just have one featured petition.
• Get users to comment or show enthusiasm toward the petition.

How will I get site visitors? And how can I make $money from this site?
Create a fan page of your website on Facebook, and send an invitation to everyone you know. The word will spread and your site will gain recognition from the Facebook community and maybe someone higher up on the Facebook staff. Advertisers might want to contact you for ad opportunities if your site grows and is well maintained.

This site idea is not limited to Facebook. Your site can also include petitions for Twitter, MySpace, or other social networking sites.

This idea has probably been floating around since status updates started gaining more popularity with the release of Twitter. But is there an ultimate database with status updates for you to submit, rate, or view? Not yet.

Create a domain using keywords related to status updates. Such as “Funny Status Updates.” Refrain from using Facebook in the name to avoid any infringement. If you’re not willing to pay for a domain and hosting that covers just one game, you could always get a free blog.

• Allow an easy to use submission form for users to share their status updates.
• Moderate the Facebook statuses that are submitted to your website.
• For efficiency, display updates in a textual format rather than a screen captured image. It will be easy for both you and your end users to use. A great example of a popular text-heavy website is FMyLife.com.
• Display a good number of statuses on the main page with pagination system. Example: 20 per page.
• Rate statuses on a 5-star scale.
• Advanced ideas: Categorize statuses (Funny, Sad, Random, etc.), Sort statuses (Newest, Oldest, Most Popular, Least Popular, Random 20).

Your keywords will be a popular search and you will get a fair amount of search engine traffic.
Earning money on this site will not be a difficult task. Since your site is going to be mainly text, you can use Google Adsense’s text-link type ads. Format the ad’s links, background and foreground colors to coincide with your website. If it blends with your site, the users are more likely to read the links and find interest in the advertisement.

This site idea is not limited to Facebook. Your site can also include status updates from Twitter, MySpace, and other social networking sites.

The keywords used in this website could be “_____ quote database,” or “_____ chat database,”  where you can fill in “____” with the chat style, be it IRC, AIM, etc. You could also replace “database” with “archive” or “logs” depending on the end user you want to attract. Or better yet, you can use all those words and optimize your site accordingly.

Is this a new idea?
A popular quote database already exists: Bash.org. Bash already is an established and well known site, but you can make it better. They currently don’t have any form of advertisement on their site, and with an Alexa Rank of 12,000 at the time of this post, I am baffled! They do have a place for donations via Paypal, but they could easily profit from the submissions of the everyday user.

The Plan
Create a domain using some of the keywords that are listed above. Or create a brandable 4-6 letter domain that people can easily remember because they will want to come back. (Example: Bash. Bash is easy to remember as well as its .org extension)

Here is a general site outline:

• Sort quote listings by: Most Popular, Least Popular, Highest Rated, Lowest Rated, Newest, Oldest, Random, Search. You can always change the names of these or even add your own ideas if you have some. But this is just a general idea.

• Moderate, moderate, moderate! This is one thing Bash.org does not seem to do as often. I can’t stress this enough, be actively rejecting, accepting quote submissions to ensure more traffic. New content = more reason to keep coming back.

How can I earn money?
Because your site will be mainly text, it will be a good idea to use text formatted ads from Google Adsense or another program. They will blend well with your site if your placement matches your site layout. This will increase your chances at a click for cash!

We’ll take this one step furthur and focus on one particular game Restaurant City created by Playfish.

This idea is not unique since there are already websites out there that have some form of tips/strategy to the Facebook games out there, but the fact that there are so few in existence gives YOU the logical opportunity to jump on this growing niche.

Create a domain using keywords related to this “strategy guide” website. Such as “RC Tips.” Refrain from using the actual game title to avoid any infringement. If you’re not willing to pay for a domain and hosting that covers just one game, you could always get a free blog.

• Choose a popular game on Facebook with millions of monthly users
• Try to make frequent updates on the latest news of the game
• Whenever the game updates, make it a priority to update your site with the latest information. This will get you indexed on Google faster, and first (if your site covers a game that another site covers).
